1. Sweep, dust mop, or vacuum using a vacuum without a beater bar |
2. Mop using your Shmop (available at Sandmasters) |
a. Run your terrycloth cover under the faucet b. Wring it out very well c. Put it on the head of your Shmop d. Spray the terry 4-5 times with your Pro-Care solution e. Run your mop in a serpentine motion over your floor f. Replace terry as needed or just rinse, wring out, spray and continue |
It is important to remember that your wood floor will last a lifetime with proper care. This includes periodic maintenance recoating of your floor. Every 2-7 years, depending on wear, your wood floor should be buffed to remove any fine scratches and recoated with two coats of finish. This will preserve the wood and enhance its beauty. Properly cared for, your wood floor should never need to be resanded. |
Alternate solutions for occasional floor cleaning: 1 capful of vinegar per gallon of water or ¼ cup ammonia free glass cleaner (preferably Windex) per gallon of water or 2 tablespoons of powdered dishwasher detergent per gallon of water |
